Assistance with Daily Life
We can assist you with your day-to-day life, be it with personal care, house cleaning, preparing and cooking meals, and personal administration. Our staff are passionate about developing and promoting the independence of people who live in their family home, or their own home.
Our staff are trained and skilled in supporting people who require hoist transfers, bowel care, meal assistance, and assisted communication.
Assistance with Social and Community Participation
We can assist and support you to develop and maintain community connections.
Due to COVID-19 going out into the community is limited, however, there are plenty of ways to interact with others online. We can assist and support you to connect online with your friends, family, and community. We'd love to help you link into activities and opportunities in your local area, and to further explore your interests.
Transport Assistance
Your car, or mine? Our staff have their own cars, so whether it's via their car or yours, we can help you to get to your appointments, go shopping, and attend activities.
Skill Development
Do you want to learn a new skill, or obtain assistance in supporting and maintaining your current skills? One of our friendly staff could help.
Whether it's learning how to knit, paint a masterpiece, operate a computer, perform a household chore, or do online shopping, we can support you to identify and work towards learning new skills that will empower and develop you.
Communication
Everyone communicates differently. We are here to support you to communicate using your choice of communication method.
We currently support both verbal and non-verbal clients. Many of our staff are trained in Facilitated Communication. We take time to learn and understand the devices that clients choose to use to communicate their personal needs.
Personal Development Skills
We have a truly diverse range of clients, and our staff are skilled in supporting them to meet their individual needs.
We support people to have positive interactions in their family environment, which sometimes means allowing time for personal space without being surrounded by workers. Our staff are passionate about assisting people to build their personal development skills to achieve maximum independence.
Implementing Behavioural Support Plans
At Ability Dignity Access Management, we work together with your Behaviour Support Practitioner to implement you individualised behaviour support plan. We as an organisation believe by working together, we can ensure all your services and support needs are aligned with your NDIS Plan
